Farmers’ Markets considered essential

As we approach summer once again, farmer’s markets are gearing up to re-open. With events being canceled as of late, there has been some uncertainty as to whether the Spokane farmer’s markets will be able to open. Thankfully, farmers’ markets are considered essential and have the go-ahead to start operating as planned.

The Washington State health department has recommended that certain guidelines be established in light of COVID-19. Many local farmers markets in Spokane have already identified changes that will occur when they open up for the season.

Here is a list of local farmer’s markets planning to open up for the season soon.

Perry St. Thursday Market

Spokane Farmer’s Market

Saturday | Begins May 9th | 8am-1pm | 920 W. Fifth Ave. Spokane

The Spokane Farmer’s market in downtown Spokane plans to limit the number of customers in at one time by using only one entry and one exit. They also have guidelines for how many people can be at each vendor stand at one time.
